"While my husband was deployed to Afghanistan in the Fall of 2009, we learned that we would be moving from North Carolina to Tyndall Air Force Base just a month after he was due to return home. This is nothing new for us, but after several moves in the past few years, we really did not want to live in temporary housing again while we waited to close on a house. We made the decision that I would come down alone and find a house, hoping that we could close before our moving date.

After searching many websites online, we called Zach and informed him of our "crazy" schedule and he was more than willing to help. I had 2 days to find a house, the week before Christmas. Zach was very helpful, communicating daily with us via email about the type of home we wanted, location, etc. Before I arrived, Zach sent me MLS sheets on many homes and I was able to discuss them with my husband. When I arrived, I had "narrowed" the list down to about 20 houses so Zach really had his work cut out for him.

The minute I met Zach in his office he put me at ease, which was not an easy task while I was facing this daunting task. To make a long story short, we saw many more than the 20 houses on my list. Zach listened to my comments while walking through houses and found others that would fit our requirements. When I narrowed the list down to 3 houses, he offered his knowledgeable opinion on everything from remodeling costs to furniture placement.

Once I was back in North Carolina and discussed everything with my husband, we decided to make an offer on one of the homes, which can get a little complicated from 700 miles away. Zach took care of everything! He sent documents overnight for us, put us in contact with lenders and insurance companies, and he even supervised contractors and a painter we hired to remodel before we moved in. Talk about above and beyond…Zach met us on the weekend to give us the keys and even had refreshments waiting for us in the refrigerator!

We have been in the house for about 10 months now and I cannot count the number of times we have called Zach and asked for a referral for everything from a landscaper to a good place to have dinner. His knowledge of the area is second to none and we will recommend him to any of our military friends looking for a house in the area."

Some of these properties were in less than desirable locations. Zach is an aggressive realtor and has done a good job of finding buyers for the bank in this difficult market. He is always accessible, returns call promptly and is knowledgeable of conditions in his market. He also is willing to inspect properties secured by loans early in the default stage in order to determine the location and condition of the property, whether there appears to be an occupant and an estimated selling price.
